What to Expect

Continuous, Compassionate Support

As your birth doula, I'm there to offer steady physical comfort, emotional encouragement, and evidence-informed guidance — not to replace your midwife or OB, but to help you feel informed and confident at every turn. From our first prenatal visit through your postpartum follow-up, care is built around your family's specific needs, values, and birth preferences.

  • Hands-On Comfort Measures

Rebozo techniques, labor positions, and physical support tailored to what you need in the moment.

  • A Voice on Your Team

I act as a liaison with your care providers, helping you stay informed and advocate for the birth you want.

Birth & Postpartum Doula Packages

Every family is different, so every package is a starting point, not a strict script — if you don't see exactly what you need, reach out and ask. I currently accept HSA/FSA and Carrot Insurance, as well as Venmo, cash, or check.

  • 1 to 3 prenatal appointments, tailored to your individual needs, confidence level, and comfort — each lasting 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. Partners are always welcome to join. Together, we'll explore:

    • Creating a personalized birth plan
    • Comfort measures and labor positions
    • Rebozo techniques and hands-on practice
    • Childbirth education and mindset preparation
    • Trimester-specific exercises
    • Breastfeeding basics and expectations

A complimentary foot zone during our second prenatal visit, and at your final prenatal appointment, a complimentary sitz bath and a homemade freezer meal to kickstart your postpartum journey.

I'll meet you at your chosen location — home, hospital, or birth center — and stay by your side throughout the entire process, offering continuous physical comfort and emotional support and acting as a liaison between you and your birth team.

I'll stay 1–2 hours after birth to help you settle in and assist with initial breastfeeding if desired, plus at least one in-home postpartum follow-up visit to reflect on your birth, answer questions about recovery and baby, and offer referrals and support.

  • 1–4 personalized prenatal visits lasting 30 to 90 minutes, designed around your comfort level and how much preparation you feel you need. Partners are always encouraged to join. We'll cover:

    • Crafting your birth plan
    • Labor and birth positions
    • Rebozo techniques
    • Childbirth education and mindset work
    • Trimester-specific movement and exercises
    • Breastfeeding preparation and expectations

A complimentary foot zone during our second prenatal visit, and at your final prenatal appointment, a complimentary sitz bath, a ring sling, and a homemade freezer meal.

I'll stay with you throughout your labor and delivery, providing continuous emotional support and physical comfort, and acting as a liaison between you and your care providers to help advocate for your birth plan.

I'll remain with you for 1–2 hours to support your transition into postpartum, then transport your placenta directly from your birth location to begin encapsulation. You'll receive a complimentary placenta tincture, with additional add-ons available. Expect a 24–48 hour turnaround, with personal delivery to your home.

At least one in-home postpartum visit to reflect on your birth experience, check in on your beautiful baby, and offer breastfeeding, emotional, and practical support.

  • Access to me via phone or text throughout your pregnancy, plus a brief meeting before your due date to connect, review your birth preferences, and make sure we're aligned for your big day.

I'll join you at your chosen birth location and remain with you throughout labor and delivery, offering continuous encouragement and physical comfort, and acting as a bridge between you and your medical providers when needed.

1–2 hours with you after birth to make sure you're comfortable and settled, with help initiating breastfeeding if desired before giving your family space to begin this new chapter together.

Continued access to me via phone or text for the first three weeks postpartum for follow-up questions, emotional check-ins, or referrals to trusted resources.

  • 1–3 in-depth prenatal sessions with you and your birth partner. Together, we'll create a personalized birth plan, build confidence through education and hands-on practice, and equip your partner with the tools to be your sole support during labor and delivery.

At your final prenatal visit, you'll receive a thoughtfully curated doula bag packed with labor comfort items: a rebozo, herbal teas, massage tools, a sitz bath blend, and a handmade postpartum freezer meal.

At least one visit after birth to reflect on your birth story, celebrate and connect over your new baby, answer questions, and gather your feedback to ensure you feel fully supported.

Doula Support FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A doula provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support before, during, and after birth — but doesn't perform clinical or medical tasks. I work alongside your midwife or OB, not in place of them, to help you feel informed, supported, and confident throughout your care.

  • It depends on how much support you're looking for and where — full prenatal and postpartum care, birth-day support alone, or guidance without me present at birth. Reach out for a free consultation and we'll talk through your needs to find the best fit.

  • Many families reach out during the second trimester, but it's never too early — or too late — to ask. I offer a free consultation so we can talk through your due date, needs, and availability.

  • I serve families throughout Salt Lake, Utah, and Davis Counties, including home, hospital, and birth center births.

  • I currently accept HSA/FSA payments as well as Carrot Insurance, alongside Venmo, cash, or check.

  • Yes. I offer individualized bereavement support for families navigating pregnancy or infant loss, at whatever pace and in whatever way feels right for you.
